Service descriptions are general; what we actually do for you is whatever a signed engagement agreement says we do.

It is not legal advice, not accounting or audit advice, not tax advice, and not security advice specific to your organization — we don’t know your environment, your obligations, or your risk tolerance from here. Don’t make a decision that matters based on a web page. Talk to us, or to a qualified advisor who knows your situation.

Discussing a framework such as SOC 2, ISO 27001, HIPAA, PCI DSS, or CMMC on this site is not a representation that we can certify you, audit you, or guarantee an outcome under it. We prepare and review; we do not issue opinions or certifications.

The content, copy, design, code, and marks on this site belong to CyberBackstop, except where they belong to someone else. You may read it, print it, and share links to it. You may quote a reasonable excerpt with attribution and a link. Use the site normally. Don’t attempt to gain unauthorized access to it or to any system connected to it, don’t attempt to disrupt it, don’t scrape it in a way that degrades it for others, don’t submit malicious code through the contact form, and don’t use the contact form to send unsolicited commercial messages.

A note, since people ask: we do not currently run a formal bug bounty or vulnerability disclosure program for this site. If you find a security issue in it anyway, we would genuinely like to hear about it — write to us and we will respond like adults. Please don’t test destructively, don’t access data that isn’t yours, and give us reasonable time before publishing.

Anything you send through the contact form or by email is handled as described in our Privacy Policy. Please don’t send us confidential information, regulated data, credentials, or anything sensitive through a web form on a first contact — tell us it exists and we’ll agree on a sensible way to exchange it. By sending us a message you confirm the information in it is accurate and yours to send.

We link to other sites occasionally, including our sister brands. We don’t control them and we’re not responsible for their content, their practices, or their privacy policies.

We aim to keep the site up and correct, and we make no promise that it will always be available, uninterrupted, error-free, or current. We may change, suspend, or remove any part of it at any time without notice.

This section is about the website. Liability for services we perform under a signed engagement agreement is governed by that agreement, not by this page.

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of North Carolina, United States, without regard to its conflict of law rules. Any dispute relating to this site will be brought in the state or federal courts located in that state, and you and we consent to that jurisdiction.

If any provision here is found unenforceable, the rest stays in force and the unenforceable part is limited to the minimum extent necessary. These terms, together with the Privacy Policy, are the whole agreement between you and us concerning this website. Our failure to enforce a provision isn’t a waiver of it.
